Srinagar, Sep 07 (KNO): The Kashmiri Pandit community congregated to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi at the historic Ganpatyar temple in Habba Kadal area of Srinagar on Saturday.
Traditional prayers, rituals, and offerings to Lord Ganesha were conducted during the event as devotees prayed for prosperity and peace.
While talking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Sanjay Tikku, President Ganesh temple said, “Ganesh Chaturthi is not only a religious celebration but a way to keep in touch with our roots. Despite difficulties, we are proud to continue this tradition here in Kashmir.”
“The locals here are really enjoying the celebration. It feels good to see the temple so lively,” he said. “It brings the community together and keeps our traditions alive,” Tikku added.
Meanwhile, the celebrations were done in a peaceful manner, and all necessary arrangements had been made for the devotees.
